//Despite that grossly unjust game of rugby on Sunday, I have to admit it: Vogue Australia is in a league of its own. I dont know about the other content (it can´t be that great jugding by the corny captions), but the editorials it produces are truly superb. Here (another) one with lanky Ukrainian beauty Alina Baikova. Ahhh yes summer is on its way.

//Just as I predicted not so long ago (here to be precise) the "stark contrast" has arrived-and man is it stark, I love it! Riotous colours and freaky patterns (thanks to Prada, Mulberry, Gucci etc.)- a complete antithesis to the quiet, understated style of the previous seasons. A hint of the refined maturity remains however, which relieves me immensely: I don't particularly appreciate the tacky and obscene.

//On another note, I do appreciate the work done by Vogue Australia: the editorials never fail to be beautiful, contemporary and on the spot.

//As much as I love the work Phoebe Philo has done for Céline and the sleek, mature, clean-cut direction that many fashion-houses have taken, I feel that it is getting slightly tedious. A stark contrast inevitably awaits us. I suspect it will come as shocking colours, mismatched pattern and a general movement away from what has become almost dull and predictable.

//Having said that, I do not necessarily support a change. I appreciate that fashion has become relatively subtle and understated and in this editorial, particularly, the strength of simple and clean becomes very apparent. The clothing-mostly Chloé, Louis Vuitton and Prada-is fantastic, though I don't find the model all that beautiful...
