//278/ Photography // Shipwreck

//I don't like to post personal photographs but I really like this one (of my boyfriend). I love the lack of depth which was caused by my using a spool of film twice accidentally, and even the mistake on the side (the white line) is nice.

//277/ Streetstyle 043

Laura from Dearest Dorothy, Longstreet, Cape Town

//This is Laura, some time ago when she was still working at Mungo & Jemima. Laura has a fantastic style and also makes some gorgeous clothing and has this funny blog, Dearest Dorothy.

//There are two things to note about these photos: *that very radical tattoo which Laura wanted and got (that is Laura for you) ever since she saw the tower of St. Nikolai in Hamburg. **those pumps with tassles which some very credible blogger, I think it was Tamu McPherson from All The Pretty Birds, said would be the next big pump.

//In other news, I decided to re-structure my blog (again) because I realised all the blogs I like have the posts on the left and the other stuff on the right...

//276/ Dior Resort 2013

Christian Dior Resort 2013

//I have been thinking a great deal about summer, because that is a nice thing to do, and mainly I have been thinking that this summer, I would like to wear a different kind of skirt- a more poofy one, as opposed to the slim, waist-high skirt that has been more popular in the past years. I don't necessarily mean the 70s, mid-calf-lengthed one, but rather a shorter, super poofy one.

//I clicked through numerous Resort 2013 collections in the hope of finding some inspiration in that direction and eventually found the Dior collection (how had I not noticed it before) which I love for its subtlety and...maturity.

//275/ Dress: Sofya Titova as the Suburban Prada Housewife

Publication: Gioia Magazine
Photography: Alice Rosati
Styling: Amelianna Loiacono
Model: Sofya Titova

//I loved that Prada Spring/Summer collection, but the endless editorials created around it became tiresome after a while. Here is the one that in my opinion was executed the best. I am not usually a fan of that preppy-twinset-pearls-suburban-lady look but for me Prada kind of reinvented it and made it interesting.
