//99/ Dress: Chapel

//Ahh these are perfect. Who said functionality and quality can't look good. Soon I will be getting around by bicycle only and before I get a bicycle, I'm getting a bag by Chapel-that is how much I love them. I can fit books, iPod, phone, wallet, diary...everything into the bag and still have my hands free. And look good. Sweet!

//There are many more, take a look here. You can order online or have a look at the Field Office (in fact, I have photographed them before, without realising it...here). My favourite would have to be the purple. Or the beige. Or hmmm maybe the colourfully striped...ha! not so easy.

//97/ Dress: Obsession

Sheri Lee from SA Fashion Girl
Publication: Self Magazine China
Photography: Freddie Child-Villiers
Model: Sheri Lee

//Woaaah, is this not awesome?? Meet Sheri Lee from SA Fashion Girl and her errrr extensive shoe collection (100+ to be more precise...gasp). Thanks to her obsession she was recently chosen to do an interview and shoot for Self Magazine China. She appointed Elle New Talent Photography Awards  winner Freddie Child-Villiers (who is fantastic by the way, have a look here) to do the photography and voilà this is the result. I think the concept is so well developed: the idea of the shoes taking over is central here.

//Sheri Lee is a graduate of FEDISA (which is pretty much the only decent fashion school in Cape Town) and is currently blogging fulltime and travelling (jealous much?? take a look at her blog). She has a super cool style which is very clearly a result of different stages in her life: from glitter and fluff in the 2000s to punk and gothic influences later on in her life. What I particularly like about her style is that she manages to strike the perfect balance between delicate femininity and a punk-goth edge (take a look here and here).

//Something she would never wear? Uggs (yes!! I totally aggree, when I see short denim skirts with Uggs I get close to having a nervous breakdown. every. time.) and snakeskin (huh? I have no objection to that).

//Her most memorable experience? Walking out on the runway after her 2010 graduation collection show...have a quick look here, cool huh?

//Something she could not live without? (We are talking dress-wise here.) Accessories: she overloads on necklaces, rings, earrings. (I wish I could say the same but I mostly just couldn't be bothered with accessories and end up wearing the same necklace and bracelet everyday...lame.) Thanks for answering those questions Sheri...

//96/ Photography: Skirt

Skirt 01

//This is my first creation, ever. I can't say I'm particularly proud of it-in fact the word creation is probably gigantic overstatement-but it fits. On several occasions I even wore it out and no one laughed.

//93/ Cape Town: Field Office

Andrew Breitenberg and Paul Senyol at The Field Office

//Ehemm, I don't like to talk about it but I lost an entire spool of film. A spool filled with holiday memories and fantastic photographs (or errr, I imagine so at least). These photographs are from another roll and as you can see it was unfortunately the inferior one...blurriness prevails.

//To the photographs: this was at an exhibition at the Field Office to celebrate the collaboration between Andrew Breitenberg and Paul Senyol. The subjects are largely my lovely friends of which you will probably see a whole lot more...

//92/ Dress: Tulle

Publication: Vogue Russia
Issue: February 2011
Photography: Jason Schmidt
Styling: Olga Dunina
Model: Denisa Dvorakova

//I love the poise and rigid symmetry here, there is something very...Russian about it. Other than that I have grown very (very) fond of tulle, I think I may attempt making a skirt or maybe even a dress...

//90/ Music: Pulp Fiction

You ain't got no problem Jules, I'm on the motherfucker
Who's Zed?
Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead.
Are you sure this is absolutely necessary?
Did you just order a five dollar shake?
Mmm, don't you justs love it when you come back from the bathroom and you find your food waiting for you?
Come on girl, we're getting out of here.
God damn Jimmy, this is some serious gourmet shit.

//I only recently watched Pulp Fiction and I love so much about it: Uma Turman; her wig; those sunglasses in the first image; the amazing script; the strange humour; Samuel L. Jackson; bizarre, blood-drenched scenes and John Travolta, but most of all the soundtrack featuring largely Tarantino, some Neil Diamond and some sweet surf music. I coincidently found it just a few days after I watched the movie and it has become the score to my every day since then.

//So do give it a listen, my favourite tracks are 5, 7 and 15. And if you find it nowhere else, give Amazon a try (oh yes, that's some shameless promotion)...Oh and seriously, how great is it when you get back from the restrooms and your food is ready??
