//24/ Dress: Mr. & Mrs. Comfort

Fashion Portfolio
Photographer : Richard Avedon
 Model: Nadja Auermann

//There are those days that are so incredibly fucked up that anyone that dares to only smile faintly risks a punch in the face on my part. And nothing, nothing can make these days better. Today is one of those days. A super cool shoot like this makes this day seem more bearable though...

//23/ Cape Town: Magic Place

//The other day, after varsity and after I had done some tutoring, it was still stupidly hot, so I walked down to the beach for a swim...and now tell me that Cape Town is not the most beautiful place on earth and that I am not most fortunate to be able to live here.

//22/ Streetstyle 001

//This is the first of a series of street photos. This particular girl (I forgot to ask for her name!), was slightly shy, but kind enough to let me take her photo.

//I love her simple and clean style and the absence of accessories. I find her quite beautiful and her modesty only enhances this.

//Ahh, these photographs are simply magical. I usually don't like to see celebrities in Vogues, but Anne Hathaway is a different breed...

//PS This post is for my cousin Ami who appreciates fairytale dresses more than anyone I know...

//20/ Spring Sun

//So my boyfriend was quite upset that I didn't tell him about my blog, and even more upset that there were no photographs of him (who would have thought!?)... Well here you go, one of the first spring swims...

//17/ Dress: Céline: Resort 2011

//...And the 2011 Resort collection...cool huh? Céline has a very mature look (maybe for you that translates to boring?) , but I like it somehow. For some reason I am very much into dressing "sensibly" at the moment, maybe a little too safe, but always reliable: dampened tones and with few accessories. I think the interest therein lies in small details, such as delicate embroidery, maybe a very slim necklace or just a single pretty button.

//How awesome is the top image? If I can find a skirt and a top like that for summer, I will be satisfied (good luck to me!).

//Have a lovely day,

//This is one of my favourite shows of this spring. It's luxurious and elegant despite the fact that it is simple. And it avoids the fussiness and pretentiousness of some other collections. And it has classic lines and a timelessness that is unmatched. And and and....

//If I weren't so ridiculously tired I could go on for a while, but I have only just gotten home from a twelve hour day and all I can think about is sleep...It has been one of those days that has just refused to end, and now I am putting an end to it...

//14/ Dress: Céline: Resort 2008

//You may not be aware of it but Céline, under Phoebe Philo, has had a significant influence on what defines fashion in the past few years. Lately, more than ever, it is clean lines, minimalism, less details more quality, contrasting textures and discreet colours like camel, beige, navy, grey, khaki etc.

//In the next few posts I will show how Philo has been progressively stripping all accessories and details to arrive at the sleek look Céline has now. Oh and this is the Céline Resort Collection of 2008.

//13/ Cape Town: Time Out

Noordhoek, Cape Town

//Sometimes it is necessary to get out of the city for a little and pretend that you're on holiday. My holiday is miles away still (well, a month- long enough!), so yesterday I took the day off and went horse riding with a friend in the morning. There are few things more relaxing than the steady trot of a horse and a fresh sea breeze. And after a day of doing sweet.. err ...nothing I felt ready to tackle this super hectic week. So, moral of the story? Hmmm  maybe to take a break so you can clear your mind...

//12/ Le Bal Masqué Vogue: Part Three

//And lastly, the Bal Masqué editorial, which was in the October issue of Vogue Paris (Lara Stone on the cover). I think it's preettty cool.

//Today was an amazing day, finally the sun came out properly!! (if only for a half day, it's seeming super cloudy again)... I went to the spring market, which was as awesome as I expected. Loads of junk, which is usually the case with vintage markets (which it is largely) buuut of course also that one item that you are convinced is destined for you. In my case this was a pretty off-pink, 70s dress. It's sleek with a cool a-line cut. The only problem is that it came with smudges (I hope they come out!) and it's too big (I will have to get it fitted : / ). I will post a picture if it all works out.

//I also handed in some films today (I only shoot on film). I'm crazy excited to see what the photographs come out like!! I took some photos of stylish people in and around Cape Town...I will tell you all more about that some other time...

//Well then have an amazing weekend,
