//86/ Dress: Under-Exposure

Publication: Vogue UK
Issue: January 1993
Photography: Corinne Day
Editor: Cathy Casterine
Model: Kate Moss

//In its day this editorial was considered extremely offensive and launched widespread criticism against Vogue: Moss was deemed too young to expose that much skin... funny that, I think today this would hardly turn a head.

//This was also one of many editorials featuring Kate Moss shot by her friend Corinne Day (I find the familiarity between the two is very apparent here). As Kate Moss rose to fame, she dropped Corinne Day as a friend-I can't remember why. Back in 1993 this familiarity and proximity to the model in a shoot was considered unconventional and before Corinne Day's photography became super popular (only much later) she was sacked from Vogue for being too "different".

//Another interesting fact: most of the underwear in the editorial is ridiculously cheap- Kate and Corinne fabricated brand-names so as to keep Vogue happy. Uhhh, yeah I did read a biography about Kate Moss a while back and since this editorial represented a monumental period in Moss' life the description of its occurence was very detailed. You're welcome.
