//307/ Cape Town: Things to do and places to go

This summer I have been asked on numerous occasions to give advice as to what (less-touristy) things one can do in Cape Town. So that I don't have to repeat myself over and over again, I have compiled a rough (very rough) list of fun things to do and places to go in Cape Town.

Markets

There are a number of lovely markets around Cape Town, all of which offer delicious food and some of which offer beautiful clothing and tourist paraphernalia. You can google their exact location.

Bay Harbour Market (Hout Bay)
Neighbourgoods market (Biscuit Mill, Woodstock)
Hope Str. Market (forgot what it is called, in Hope street)
EarthFare Food Market (Tokai and St Georges Mall)
Bluebird Garage Market (39 Albertyn Road, Muizenberg)

The Old Biscuit Mill, Woodstock

Fresh Bread at the Earth Fare Food market

Cafés

....I can't think of any more than these right now but there are many lovely Cafés in Cape Town and they are not hard to find. Be sure to go to Ours in Kalk Bay...its the hangout for local surfers and offers the best coffee in town.
